Snapping

Snapping happens when you drag on a layer. When you get close to the item you are snapping to, the element moves to ‘snap’ into place, as if it is magnetic to the other element.

There are several options for snapping, to see them all choose View > Snapping  and select one or more options from the submenu:

  • Guides: Snaps to guides.
  • Grid: Snaps to the grid. You can only select this option when the grid is visible.
  • Canvas: Snaps to the edges of the canvas.
  • Objects: Snaps to the images, texts, buttons and shapes.

If you don’t need snapping, you can turn it off by holding down the CTRL key.

Resize

Use the Selection tool to choose the element. You can now resize it proportionally to fit your design by dragging any corner of the element.

To freely resize, Shift-drag a corner handle of the element.

Resize from center

Holding down Alt while clicking and dragging a handle will resize an object proportionally from its center.

Rotate

The Rotate tool lets you turn your image, text, button, shape, or even a group of elements from any angle.

Thanks and happy designing!

Guidelines and Grid https://bannernow.com/tutorials/guidelines-and-grid/ Mon, 25 Jun 2018 11:39:44 +0000 http://help.bannernow.com.www629.your-server.de/?p=670 Grid

Guides/Rulers and the Grid help you position items precisely. Guides will appear as red lines floating over elements on the stage. You’ll be able to move and remove grids, which will not be visible on the exported banner.

The grid is useful especially when looking to lay out elements symmetrically. The grid will appear by default as nonprinting grey lines.

To show or hide the grid, choose View > Grid from the top menu. To specify grid style choose the spacing between gridlines.

Rulers

Rulers help you accurately place and measure objects. They appear at the top and left sides of the working space.

To show or hide rulers, choose View > Rulers.

Guides

Guides help you align text and graphic objects. To create a guide position the pointer on the left ruler for a vertical guide or on the top ruler for a horizontal guide and drag the guide into position.

To create a new guide go to View > Add Guideline and specify exactly where you want your new guide to appear.

Snap to Guidelines

Snapping helps with precise placement of elements on the stage. To activate the Snap feature go to View > Snap to Guidelines.

Remove Guidelines

Guidelines can be removed by dragging the guideline back to the ruler. Another way you can do this is by removing all guidelines from the View menu.

Styles and Presets https://bannernow.com/tutorials/presets/ Wed, 14 Mar 2018 12:22:06 +0000 http://help.bannernow.com.www629.your-server.de/?p=268 Presets: Reusable Text and Button styles, and custom Effects.

Presets – is a way to create Buttons, Text and Custom Effects, which you can later save in galleries for future re-use.

You are able to add a new Text/Button item on the Stage, apply desired options to it such as font, color, width, etc and save it in the Presets Gallery.

When a new Preset is saved, you can re-use for the current banner or any new banners within the same Project/Campaign, until you remove it at some point.

Steps to create a Text Preset:

  1. Add a new Text item on the Stage and apply desired properties (colors, font, …).
  2. Select this Text item  on the Stage. Scroll through the properties panel on the left all the way to the end. You’ll find the Save Style option. Click it in order to save a new Button Presets.

How to find existing presets (for Text items)

Click the Add Text button.

You will see the Presets tab within the gallery only if you’ve created presets before. From here, you can add a Preset item on the Stage by clicking on it. You’re also able to remove or rename an existing preset by hovering over a preset thumbnail and clicking the 3-dot icon to access the remove/rename menu.

Button preset

Add a Button on the Stage and apply the desired properties (colors, font, etc).

Button presets can be accessed by clicking the Add Button on the left. Same as with Text Preset, you can add, remove or rename a Button Preset.

You can also create and reuse the Custom Effect Presets.

For this, select an item on the Stage and access its Custom Effect properties from layer settings on Timeline.

Configure your custom effects by adjusting opacity, scale, easing, etc… Then click on Save Preset.

Create a name for your new preset.

By doing this, a newly added preset will appear in the Presets dropdown. You can then apply this to any banner in the current project. Just select it from the dropdown menu.

Remove a preset by selecting the preset from the dropdown and clicking on Remove Preset.
