For example, let’s imagine that you need to create a banner with 2 buttons and specify the hyperlinks for these buttons directly from the AdTag.

First, let’s prepare the banner to accept the dynamic landing urls.

For the first button enable the Landing URL/Hyperlink and input window.BN.urlParamsDecoded.a1

Here, a1 serves as a dynamic param that we will pass later from the AdTag.

For the second button add window.BN.urlParamsDecoded.d2 Landing URL/Hyperlink

The “d2” will be the dynamic param that we will pass later from the AdTag.

In the AdTag settings, assign values to your parameters:

a1 = https://bannernow.com

d2 = https://example.com

With this setup, clicking the first button directs users to https://bannernow.com, while the second button leads to https://example.com.

The Hyperlink append params can be used to add additional URL query params to the banner Landing URL/Hyperlink.

xample:

  • Base URL: https://example.com
  • Appended Parameters: ?utm_campaign=mycampaign1&utm_source=mysource1
  • Resulting URL: https://example.com?utm_campaign=mycampaign1&utm_source=mysource1

This method enables you to gather insights into your campaign’s effectiveness and identify the most successful channels.

For more detailed information on URL parameters and tracking, refer to Google’s support resources.

Google Ad Manager – Advanced Ad Formats (out-of-page) https://bannernow.com/tutorials/publish-advanced-formats-to-google-ad-manager/ Mon, 04 Jan 2021 15:20:52 +0000 http://help.bannernow.com.www629.your-server.de/?p=2115

Create a new “Advanced Format” banner (Interstitial, Sticky, Pushdown, …) and click the “Publish” tab.

Select the “Google Ad Manager/ Doubleclick For Publishers [DFP]” Ad network.

Copy the Ad Tag (Embed Code)

In Google Ad Manager go to Delivery->Creatives and click “New Creative”

Select Advertiser and click on “Custom” creative format

Select “Out-of-page (Interstitial)” ad unit size.

Paste the Ad Tag (Embed Code) that you have copied from Bannernow.

Uncheck the Safe Frame option. Otherwise you will need to add a JavaScript code to your Google Ad Manager templates to communicate the Window resize event to the banner (please contact us at contact@bannernow.com) if you need any help with that.

When copying embed code – make sure that quotes are not modified (for example if you will send this embed code to somebody via email – email client can display quotes in different format which will cause problems with displaying your banner).

Click Save and preview your banner. If banner preview is not working it could be because of wrong quotes format (“ ” instead of ” “) in embed code or because of the Safe Frame.

The next steps will describe how to add “Out of page” creatives to your website. If you already know this please skip the following steps.

Go to Inventory->Ad Units and click “New Ad Unit”

Select “Out of page” type size.

Uncheck “AdSense” (Maximize revenue of unsold inventory with AdSense) if you don’t want to show ads from Google Ad Exchange network in your Out of page ad container/unit.

Click SAVE to save the Ad Unit.

Now go back to Ad Units page (Refresh the page if you don’t see newly created Ad unit). Click on the newly created Ad Unit.

Open “Tags” tab. Select “Google Publisher Tag” and click Continue.

Enable “Out-of-page” creative. Click Next.

Copy the codes to your website. Header code initializes out of page creative.

Document body code creates a container where the banner will be placed.

*If you already have the gpt.js script library embeded into your website header – paste the document header code without it.

Now your webiste is ready to display Out of page creatives.

You can create an Order with Line item the same way you do for other display ads sizes:

Select the out-of-page Ad Unit size that you have just created (it’s where your creatives will be displayed for this order/line item).

Assign creatives to your order line item (select existing creative that you have added in the first part of this tutorial):

Approve the order and the Advanced out-of-page banners will start displaying on your website

Start the order and the “Out-of-page” Advanced formats will start displaying on your website.

Schedule Campaigns https://bannernow.com/tutorials/schedule/ Thu, 15 Mar 2018 01:34:51 +0000 http://help.bannernow.com.www629.your-server.de/?p=419 Schedule

Bannernow Schedule allows you to group multiple banners into a single placeholder.

Banners in a placeholder will be displayed in alternation/rotation based on a schedule (date/time), and a relative weight/frequency rule. The placeholder’s function is to group multiple banners by the same size and locale (so no banners of different sizes or locales will be found within the same placeholder).

How to use this feature:

1. Head over to Schedule by selecting the Schedule tab on the top of the dashboard. Click Add Schedule in order to create a new schedule configuration.

BannerNow dashboard add new schedule button

2. Enter a New Title (1) for the Schedule. After this, add the Fallback Bannerset (2), which refers to the default bannerset from which banners will be displayed within the placeholder when no other banners are scheduled in the calendar. Select “schedule timezone” (3), then, “Create” (4).

BanneNow new schedule panel

3. Select the Schedule Title in order to open the calendar and start adding bannersets to a schedule.

BannerNow dashboard new schedule created

4.  On the left pane, you’ll be able to view all bannersets of the current project/campaign.

In order to add banners to schedule, simply drag & drop the desired bannersets to the calendar.

BannerNow schedule add bannersets

5. When adding a bannerset to the calendar, you’ll be able to choose which banner sizes and locales of a bannerset you need to add to the schedule. This is where you specify which banner sizes and locales will participate in this schedule. These will be selected from the bannerset (if exists), otherwise, it will have defaulted to fallback bannerset.

6. You are able to stretch and drag placeholders on the calendar to adjust the duration and a start date.

7. Click on the placeholder to open up the “settings” menu.

8. In the Settings (1) tab you’re able to set a “Title” for the interval, change bannerset, configure dates and times in which his interval should be active (and display banners), as well as update its color on the calendar. You can also adjust repeating events within the Period (2) tab and show specific banner locales within the Filters (3) tab.

BannerNow schedule settings

9. In order to update the start/end date for an interval, simply click on “date picker”, select the start date (1), then select the end date (2).

BannerNow schedule period settings

10. The Weight option allows specifying a relative frequency in which banners in this placeholder is displayed.

Example: There are 2 banners (A, and B) that are active on the same date within a certain placeholder. Both these banners are 250×250 in size and have an English locale.

You are able to set weight 2 to interval A and weight 1 to interval B. This means that banners in interval A will be displayed twice as frequently compared to other banners from interval B.

How this is calculated: Total weights are 2 + 1 and it represents 100% of showtime, therefore weight 2 equates to 66% of showtime, and weight 1 to 33%. You can assign any value to the weight depending on your frequency criteria.

11. Schedule may contain as many placeholders and intervals as needed.

12. Right panel Placeholders shows all sizes and locales that participate in this schedule.

13. In order to publish a schedule click on the option “Publish”. You can publish placeholders using an embed code, or by going directly into the DoubleClick DFA/DFP account. This option can be done after configuring the integration from profile settings.
